Monday..... enough said i haven't had the time this past weekend to post anything. Well im sure i could have made time but i needed to get things done around the house and relax.  i got more done then relax but i still had a great weekend. Riley and i went up to Lowe's for the work shop i talked about the other day.

We got to make a trolley and a robot from the movie Aliens vs Monsters! he had a blast, we got a certificate and a iron on patch to put on a shop apron and safety goggles for the next time we go.

What else did we do???? oh i cut some wood with the chain saw, started smoking bad, so we took a trip downtown to the hardware store and got some popcorn. yes the popcorn shop. i got a new chain and a number of a guy who will sharpen chains. i mean i can't buy a new chain ever time. Also my neighbor let me borrower a split mauler to chop wood. why didn't i use just an ax? this is a heavier duty chopper. Same momentum but better for the down swing less work, let gravity do the job, and it was relaxing. how can chopping wood be relaxing? it allows me to focus on what i am doing and being safe and allows me not to think about anything else. Clearing the mind by focusing on one objective, so to speak.

we had a great fire and friends over it was nice to just relax at that moment, but then the mosquito's came and i got tore up. Michele and i also watched the amazing spider-man 2, i thought it kicked butt, she feel asleep but i don't blame her she was tired.  We also watched this weekend the secret life of Walter Mitty. I am not a big Ben Stiller fan, but hat was a really good movie. and it made me think that you don't have to go to far away places to live life, you can start in your own backyard. Especially if you have kids go make a mud puddle! even if you don't have kids. when was the last time you made a mud puddle. As adults we think that we have to be "proper" but i say why not get a little dirty, you have a shower use it after. take that kind of time and just be in the now.

Sunday we went to the local soda shop! yes we still have one! got some of the best BBQ pulled pork sandwiches! OMG! delicious!  some ice cream. after that we took a walk around the downtown area, love the family time!

 Today we had a blast after lunch it was getting hot, we were out side i gave the boys Popsicles i had mine and we fill up the little pool and played with water guns! i turned on the sprinkler and we rocked out!
